AND THEN COMES SUNDAY

ENTERING through the doors of the Sanctuary on the final SUNDAY of the year is an auspicious occasion.

WE are fully aware of that which remains and shall remain UNdone.
WE have no illusions about who our REAL friends are.
WE acknowledge that it is not "resolutions" that change us but REPENTANCE.
WE have an increased awareness of our own mortality.
WE know what a poor investment self pity is.
WE wish we had PRAYED more and talked less.
WE feel amazingly lighter, easier and UNAFRAID.

LORD JESUS CHRIST,
SON of GOD,
RADIANCE of DIVINE GLORY,
HOLY and BENEVOLENT,
MERCIFUL and FULLY PRESENT.
PLEASE forgive me of my sin.
And make me like you.

This is my prayer in the NAME of JESUS.
AMEN.
